Bainbridge State Park is a serene natural oasis featuring an array of outdoor activities. It offers fishing and boating on Lake Seminole, camping sites with RV hookups, picnic areas for family gatherings or quiet lunches in nature's lap. The park also has hiking trails that meander through lush forests teeming with wildlife making it perfect for bird watching and photography enthusiasts alike.
Located in Decatur County, Georgia, the park was established in 1979. It spans over 1,635 acres of land and water bodies.
The area is known for its diverse wildlife including deer and various bird species. The park offers recreational activities such as hiking trails, fishing spots and picnic areas.
In addition to natural beauty, it also houses historical sites like Jones Hooks Water Plantation built around 1840s-1850s.
However due to budget cuts by state government officials in July 2018 , this site ceased operations indefinitely.
