Canoe-Picnic Point State Park is only reachable by boat, offering a quiet camping experience in a wooded area with plenty of dock space available. Just south of the camping area is Picnic Point, a picnic ground with a beautiful picnic gazebo, shore dinner cooking facility and dockage. The fishing is excellent.

Swimming
1. Canoe Point State Park offers swimming in the St. Lawrence River with lifeguards on duty.
2. The park features a sandy beach for sunbathing and building sandcastles before or after swimming.
3. Picnic Point State Park also provides river-based swimming options, perfect for cooling off during summer months.
4. Both parks have designated swim areas to ensure safety of all visitors enjoying water activities.
5. These state parks do not offer indoor pools; all swims are open-water experiences within marked boundaries.

Boating
The park offers a variety of boating options for visitors. Canoeing and kayaking are popular activities, with rentals available on-site during the summer months. There is also a boat launch area where guests can bring their own watercrafts to explore the surrounding waters at leisure. Fishing boats are another option as fishing is permitted in designated areas within the park's boundaries.
Fishing
Enjoy fishing in the St. Lawrence River, where you can catch species like Northern Pike and Smallmouth Bass. The park also offers ice fishing during winter months for Walleye and Yellow Perch. Fishing gear rentals are available on-site.
