Picnicking
Clarkco State Park offers numerous picnic spots with tables and grills, two pavilions for larger gatherings, and beautiful lake views.
Bicycling
Biking enthusiasts can enjoy the dedicated bike trails available. However, these paths are not suitable for beginners due to their difficulty level.

The park's terrain is hilly and challenging, requiring a moderate fitness level from cyclists.

Mountain biking is popular here but be aware of potential hazards such as loose gravel or fallen branches on the trail.

Remember that helmets are mandatory when cycling within this area; safety should always come first.

Please note: there aren't any rental services provided in-park so bring your own gear if you plan to cycle around.

Cyclists must respect all signage and avoid areas designated off-limits for bikes - conservation efforts may be ongoing there.

Be mindful of other visitors while riding - pedestrians have right-of-way on shared pathways throughout the grounds.

Lastly, it's wise to carry water with you during rides since Mississippi weather can get quite hot at times!
Birding
Birdwatchers can enjoy observing various species in a diverse range of habitats, including forests and lakes. The park is home to numerous bird species such as woodpeckers, hawks, owls and songbirds. Birding enthusiasts may also spot migratory birds during certain seasons.
