The park offers a variety of boating options on its 790-acre lake. Motorboats must display a current boat registration while non-powered boats need either registration or launch permit from the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission, or any other state park office. There are two public launching areas available as well as mooring spaces that can be rented annually (from April to October). The use of motors over 20 horsepower is prohibited in order to maintain calm waters for canoeing and sailing enthusiasts.
The park offers a variety of fishing options in its lake, including ice-fishing during winter. Species like bass, pike and perch are abundant here. Boat rentals for angling are available too. The area is also stocked with trout by the Fish and Boat Commission annually.
