June 9 Highway Sign West of Park by Lorne Green
Hey, just drove through there this past weekend on my way to Jackson from Central Arkansas. Noticed on your highway sign on the west side of the Delta National Forest is spelled incorrectly. You guys have it posted as Delta National Forrest. With two Rs. That is the proper name spelling like Forrest Gump. The large ecosystem of trees is spelled Forest. With only one R. Your website has it spelled correctly. Just thought youd want to know. It doesnt reflect well on the state of Mississippi. Thank You Lorne Green Morrilton, Arkansas
September 4 Teddy Bear Birthplace by James Aberdeen
Theodore Roosevelt came here to explore and hunt bear as one of his first Presidential acts. Exasperated at not seeing any bears, his guide roped a small black bear for the President to shoot. Refusing to shoot the trapped bear, Roosevelt came to be known as a man of character and honor and the Teddy Bear soon became the most popular toy in the world.
November 16 Great hunting experience
The bottomland hardwood setting that the Delta National Forest offers is a great hunting experience. The woods are beautiful and there are some great bucks there.
