FOUNTAINHEAD STATE PARK
Established in 1970, the park is located near Eufaula Lake in Oklahoma. It was named after a nearby creek.

In addition to outdoor pursuits, it also houses Fountainhead Creek Golf Course for golf enthusiasts.

The park offers a variety of boating options for visitors. There is a full-service marina available, which includes boat rentals and sales as well as slip rental. The lake within the park provides ample space for personal watercraft use, sailing, powerboating and fishing boats. Boat ramps are also provided to allow easy access into the water with your own vessel.
Located in Oklahoma, this park offers freshwater fishing with species like largemouth bass and catfish. Anglers can enjoy bank or boat fishing on Eufaula Lake. Crappie is another popular catch here. Fishing tournaments are also held regularly for enthusiasts to participate in.

2. Turkey Mountain Yellow Trail: A moderately trafficked out-and-back trail spanning approximately five miles; it features beautiful wild flowers and is rated as moderate in difficulty level.
3. Osage Hills State Park Hiking Trails: These trails cover about seven miles of rugged terrain with steep inclines, offering hikers the chance to see various types of flora and fauna native to Oklahoma.
4. Lake Thunderbird Clear Bay Recreation Area Loop Trail: An easy-to-moderate hiking route covering around nine miles which circles part of the lake providing stunning water vistas throughout its length.
5. Redbud Valley Nature Preserve Main Loop: It's an one mile lightly trafficked loop trail located near Catoosa featuring beautiful wildflowers best used from March until October.
6. Buffalo Rock Short Course Disc Golf Walking Path: Tulsa County Parks Department has installed this short course disc golf walking path within Fountainhead state park measuring less than two kilometers long ideal for beginners or families looking for light exercise while enjoying nature.
7. Roman Nose State Park Inspiration Point via Mesa Loop: This challenging six-kilometer hike takes you up high cliffs overlooking Roman Nose Lake before descending back down into lush valleys filled with diverse plant life making it perfect choice if seeking solitude amidst natural beauty.
8. Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge Elk Mountain Summit: At just over three kilometres round trip, this popular trek leads climbers through rocky terrains reaching summit where they can enjoy panoramic view across entire refuge area including Mount Scott, Lake Lawtonka among others.
The park offers diverse birding opportunities with over 200 species, including waterfowl and songbirds. Birdwatchers can explore various habitats such as forests, wetlands and lake shores. The area is particularly popular during migration seasons for spotting rare birds.
