August 11 Beware of Stickers by CharMsSpice

WEAR SHOES IN THE GRASS/PICNIC AREA! DO NOT walk barefoot, or let your dogs walk across the grass. We took our dogs to this beach last week and thoroughly enjoyed it. We basically had the entire park to ourselves. HOWEVER, the reason we think no one goes there is because of the thousands upon thousands of STICKERS in the lawn you have to cross to get to the trails to the beach. Our dogs could not walk a single step across the grass without getting numerous stickers in their pads and between their toes. The stickers are painful and had to be pulled out with every step they tried to take. Finally, we just carried our dogs (70 and 75 lbs) across the lawn to/from the sand. We had hundreds of those pesky stickers stuck to the bottoms of our shoes. Miserable to get out. The beach itself was great.
