| Lake Lowndes State Park offers complete recreational facilities for individuals, families, and groups. Located on a beautiful 150-acre lake, the park offers unlimited opportunities for fishing and camping, as well as complete facilities for football, tennis, softball, and other organized sports. Mississippi University for Women (The "W") and Mississippi State University (MSU) are just a short drive to the west, making Lake Lowndes State Park the perfect place to stay during a football weekend at MSU or while visiting either campus. |

Diamond in the Rough!!!!
There is no place like home. I grew up out there and I love it!! State parks are always wonderful places to visit! Beautiful scenery, nature trails, playgrouds, picnic pavillions, and cozy cabin rentals!!!!

Our Favorite Park
As avid campers, we have experienced state parks in many states. Our favorite remains the one in our town, Lake Lowndes State Park. Clean camping spots, on the water, plenty to do with the kids.

Quiet, Peaceful and Friendly
We had a great time staying in one of the cabins at this state park. The lake is beautiful and not crowded at all!
