Boating
The park, located in Idaho, offers a variety of boating options for visitors. Canoeing is one of the most popular activities due to its historical significance as it was once used by explorers Lewis and Clark. The Clearwater River provides ample opportunities for canoeists and kayakers alike with calm waters suitable even for beginners. Additionally, motorized boats are allowed on the river providing more adventurous guests an opportunity to speed along or go fishing.
Fishing
The park offers river fishing opportunities with species like Chinook salmon, steelhead trout and smallmouth bass available. Anglers can enjoy bank or boat fishing options in the pristine waters of Clearwater River. Fishing gear rentals are not provided within the park so bring your own equipment. A valid Idaho state fishing license is required for all anglers over 14 years old.
