Witness the awe and power of this natural phenomenon, known to the locals as Thors Well. This massive hole embedded in the porous volcanic rock near the coast of central Oregon swells with sea water during high tides and drains below with immense speed. Formed over hundreds of years, this dangerous yet beautiful spectacle shows off the Pacific Oceans never-ending ability carve and shape the land.

Amazing Hiking - I live close to Finley and it is so nice to be able to go here for either a quick walk or a hike depending on your mood. My favorites are the Woodpecker Loop and the hike by the lake. Another bonus is that there is so much variety in the different trails from marshy areas to forest and fields.

Trains, trains, trains - The campground itself is nice, but it borders the train tracks, and at least 8 trains went by during the night that we stayed, and I only got about 5 hours of sleep. It may look deceiving because during the day we were there only 2 trains went by, but I guess train traffic picks up significantly at night.

The park is excellent. - Myself,Husband and friends have been going fishing and relaxing in this park for 20 years.Lots of great inprovments . It is perfect. Just got back from 2 weeks there, and weather was bad.Strong winds and cold. Not the best for fishing. We will be there again in the fall for beach fishing. So fun. Thanks for having a great place. It is a Gods creation for sure.

Good Location for US - Its a great location for us we go because of the area around it. We love to fish and hike. But the campsites are kind of small and uneven ground. We only camp there if one of the 2 sites are available. otherwise we go elsewhere. Playground is nice, also the showers are nice and warm. The stars are very beautiful in the gorge at night.
Outstanding Park ! - Great presentations and replica fort A MUST see attraction Hiking trails to the beach !!!!

epic - on your bucket list.... for sure.
Beautiful spot to see stuffed birds - Beldings squirrels all over the lawn, several interesting birds and waterfowl to spot around the area. Interesting old buildings constructed of local pink stone. Museum has the old(!) stuffed birds.

Have been coming here since I was akid. - My wife and I rented one of the new cabins in early September along with my Daughter and Grand Daughter. The cabin was very clean & cozy, and is situated among sitka spruce very close to the beach. This is a much quieter serene place than Cannon Beach, or Seaside, and it grows on you. It was hard to leave and return to the city! I highly recommend staying here.

Go in the Spring - One of the very best state parks anywhere. Great trails, lovely falls, and temperate rain forest type vegetation. We went in late summer and a couple of falls were pretty dry. Spring is the best time for waterfalls viewing.
