March 6 Go after Labor Day!
The weather has moderated and the crowds are down up to 90%. You can pick pretty much any campsite then. This park is a kayakers paradise.
May 21 Very Nice Place to Visit
We visited in the spring when the weather was still rainy in Western WA. It was a great time. There is a fair amount to do in the area too. Hikes, visit Soap Lake and Grande Coulee dam. Fishing was very good too.
July 4 Sunlakes, a GREAT Family Tradition by Adriana White - Newcastle WA
My family has been going to Sunlakes State Park since 1985. It has been so incredible to go there summer after summer, meeting new people, making life long friends, witnessing the many changes to the park, and of course creating life long memories. Sunlakes State Park is an absolute treasure to the casual camper. The parks department, over the years has done a good job updating facilities and keeping the sites clean and well taken care of. Where else can you see the splendor of nature and enjoy the waters of the lakes? Now that I am grown, I am taking my family, and letting long time traditions spread to the next generation.
