Wetland habitat-- but farms present
State managed wetlands, diked walk ways with ponds and tule stands. Can be almost dry in summer but spring and fall loads up with shore birds, cranes, egrets, ducks, geese, pheasants and raptors. Ducks nest here. Mammals incl. coyote, rabbit, rodents. Open to hunting Oct-Jan.
