State Park Overview:
Wenberg State Park is a 46-acre camping park with 1,140 feet of freshwater shoreline on Lake Goodwin in Snohomish County. The park offers good fishing and a variety of other water activities. Located north of Seattle, the park provides urbanites weekend access to forested recreation without the necessity of lengthy travel. The fishing is great, and water-skiing boats and personal watercraft are welcome here. Wenberg is a popular getaway spot for nearby urban dwellers and a pleasant stay-over spot for travelers.

Park hours: 7 a.m. to dusk Alcoholic beverages are not permitted.Weapons and fireworks are prohibited.Do not use hibachis and/or barbeques on table tops.Destroying, molesting, disturbing or injuring property, vegetation or animals is unlawful.

The park is open year round for camping and day use. Some campsites are closed in winter.

Summer: 6:30 a.m. to dusk.Winter: 8 a.m. to dusk.

Noise For the enjoyment of all park visitors, loud speakers or stereo systems are prohibited.Campground quiet hours are from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m.

I like the natural setting

Nice campsite and close to home

Nice campsite, clean, decent fishing and close to home. If you want to get out to nature in a short time this is the palce to go. I recommend Wenberg for just that

Camping:
The park has 45 tent spaces, 30 utility spaces, a dump station, three restrooms and three showers. Maximum site length is 50 feet (may have limited availability). To reserve a campsite, call (888) CAMPOUT or (888) 226-7688.

Check-in time is 2:30 p.m., and check-out time is 1 p.m.Quiet hours are from 10 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. Engine-driven electric generators may be operated only between the hours of 8 a.m. and 9 p.m.Length of stay: You may stay up to ten consecutive days in any one park during the summer; the stay limit is extended to 20 days between Oct. 1 and March 31.
Picnicking:
The park offers one kitchen shelter with and one without electricity, plus 10 sheltered and 40 unsheltered picnic tables.

The larger kitchen shelter accommodates up to 150 people and is reservable through (888) CAMPOUT or (888) 226-7688.

In good weather, a concession operates in the day-use area from Memorial Day to Labor Day.
Boating:
The park has two boat ramps and 20 feet of handling dock.

A daily watercraft launching permit and a trailer dumping permit is available at the park. Annual permits also may be purchased at State Parks Headquarters in Olympia, at region offices, online, and at parks when staff is available.
History of the Area:
The state acquired the land in a series of five parcels over time from public and private sources. The park was originally a Snohomish County park.

Directions:
Located 18 miles northwest of Everett, Wash., on Lake Goodwin in Snohomish County.

From I-5:Take exit #206, and drive west 2.4 miles to a stop sign. Turn right, and drive 2.7 miles. Turn left on E. Lake Goodwin Rd., and travel 1.6 miles. Park entrance is on right.
