Aloha is our favorite state park, its clean quite, the ranger is nice, the only thing they need to put in new bathrooms, our kids grew up camping there and want to continue camping there, WE will be starting to camp there again soon.

Been camping at Aloha for over 30 years. Love the park, but its time to up date the bathrooms, move the dump station away from the main road into the park. And clean more often the beach and bathrooms during fish fly season. Also bring back the dog beach area.

June 11 Aloha S.P. Luau by Happy Wanderers!
The Petoskey H.S. Steel Drum Band entertained at the third annual luau. It was great. We came here especially to participate in this event. Thanks to all the sponsors and people that made this possible.

Concerns about Aloha State Park 1. Why doesn?t Aloha have recycling? You talk about ?going green? and looking at all of the overflowing dumpsters , why not offer recycling like other parks? 2. Since you have removed log barriers from the beach area south section, there is a problem with lots 259 & 221 with campers moving their campsite further onto the grassey beach area. At lot 218 there is a sign stating ?No camping beyond this point? . Why can?t you put up a couple more signs to prevent campers on these 2 lots from spreading onto the beach area that other campers use. 3. We have camped at Aloha for 40 years and now dogs cannot swim on any beaches, not just the official ?beach?. Where can dogs go swimming now? I can understand it at the posted beach where there are swimming buoys, but why everywhere? Ever try to explain it to your dog who loves the water and has always been able to go until now?

This is a very well kept park close to Cheboygan. The park has very nice spacious grassy sites. Facilities are very clean. Nice lake breeze near play area- perfect for flying kits.
May 25 Great camping!!!!! One of our favorite by funcamping52
Nice big grassy sites, lots of sites right on the water, if your not right on the water, you can still see the lake, and see the great sunsets.
January 13 We love how the park is on the lake!
