Before the turn of the century, West Virginians were drawn to the natural beauty of the Middle Fork River and its surroundings. This area is now Audra State Park, a heavily wooded riverside campground that continues to awe visitors.
The campground consists of 65 tent and trailer sites, two bathhouses with modern facilities, and a centrally located playground. There are coin-operated washing machines and dryers. A dumping station is located nearby.

Each site has a picnic table and grill.

There are no reservable campsites at Audra State Park. All sites are first-come, first-served.
Audra State Park offers a natural swimming area in the Middle Fork River with picturesque overhanging rocks and clear waters. Swimming is unsupervised, so visitors swim at their own risk; there are no lifeguards on duty. The river's water levels can vary, affecting swimming conditions throughout the season. Picnic areas nearby provide spots to relax after enjoying the water.

Whitewater enthusiasts enjoy boating the Middle Fork River. This activity is permitted at your own risk. To check the water flow in real time, visit the USGS water resources page. Choose the Monongahela river basin and then check water flows for the Middle Fork at Audra, WV.
Nestled along the Middle Fork River, visitors can enjoy fishing for smallmouth bass, trout, and catfish. Catch-and-release is encouraged.

Audra State Park is located near Bridgeport, Buckhannon and Elkins

Audra State Park offers scenic riverside picnic spots with tables and grills. Covered pavilions are available for reservation.
