October 20 Great Year @ Conchas Lake! by Colorqueen

We went to the lake almost every weekend since early spring and what a beautiful 2009 it was. The Spring fishing was best, the water is BLUE, as water should be and warmed up nicely by June for lots of waterfun. Walking, Biking, Hiking, Swimming, name your favorite outdoor adventure and you can find it here. The wildlife was spectacular: Deer, Turkeys, Eagles, Birds, Birds, Birds! chipmunks and squirrels, rabbits, even cows and horses! We bought a camping pass so we could afford to go often. Fantastic Cheap Summer Fun!

May 29 We go every year, at least twice!

We just got back from a week long stay. There are plenty of 2-3 lb catfish and rock bass coming out, but I nailed a 4 1/2 lb 18 1/4 inch largemouth bass. The water levels are lower than in previous years, but we still had plenty of room for the boat and jet skis. The facilities are wonderful too!

Just got back from AAA NM after requesting maps, information about Conchas Lake Park local businesses (restaurants, motels etc.) and a good map - - - they gave us a NM map and your services and lake are not even listed in their NM directory. Thought you would like to know.
