Situated on the shores of Enid Lake, George Payne Cossar State Park is a sportsman's paradise. Most of the land around the lake and in nearby Holly Springs National Forest is open for public hunting, and is abundant in variety of game. Hunters are not the only sportsmen who will find their quarry in the area. The world record crappie, weighing in at over five pounds, was pulled from the waters of Enid Lake. These excellent hunting and fishing opportunities, combined with a variety of recreational opportunities and scenic natural beauty, make George Payne Cossar State Park the perfect family vacation spot.

April 21 Discrimination by Norman_o
park review stars; one to five Just like to know why Rv and campers can get military discount, but if you stay in cabins you dont. To me that is clearly discrimination
July 28 A few days to relax by Parkers
park review stars; one to five Family was on our way back to Arkansas from Gulf Shores. We had about a 13 hour drive and decided we needed to find a spot mid way for a couple of days to park our trailer and just chill. We chose Cossar Park. It was situated among a deep forest of beautiful old trees, near a beautiful lake. Deer were wandering around everywhere. We just went for walks with the dogs and even took in a game of putt putt golf with our daughter. The park was not new and extravagant, but all I can say is, I wish it was 7 hours closer to us and we would be back.
