September 6 Beautiful Park but unsupervised.. by Pat
We visited the park on Monday of Labor Day weekend and I must say, as beautiful as it was, we left quickly as there were intoxicated people shooting off large fireworks into the tops of the beautiful hemlock trees and we were frightened of a possible fire or worse.. No one in charge to make a report to. Also, the sign says no dogs ( unless service) and to bring out your trash.. People had several large dogs not leashed ( one growled menacingly at us) and garbage all over at the base of the beautiful waterfalls.. We left feeling dismayed.... :(
May 6 Need a Bridge by gmancato
I love taking my five year old for a beautiful hike, but really wish they would build a Bridge at the top. Then you would be able to walk in a circle. After I walked all the way back around I realized there is a path to Park Road instead of Silver Lake. I still would rather not walk with kids on the road. Also there should be a sign at least showing this is a way to cross to the other side by the parking lot. Also hope they add more railings in the Silver Lake Rd side.

May 22 Favorite place to visit by Carla
My Aunt has lived in the area for over 30 years. We have many family visit to the park, I am hoping it will be re opened when I arrive there in June. I want my children to enjoy the park as much as we did as young children, teens and young adults. Fond memories and lots of pictures of us splashing in the streams and diving off the bottom falls.

February 11 No longer a state park by AshburnStadium
This park is no longer part of the Pennsylvania state park system. It is now called the George W. Childs Recreation Area, and is a part of the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area. Swimming, once very popular in the pools beneath the waterfalls, was banned when the National Park Service took over.
September 9 Best Park, Hidden Jewel by AP
We visited this park twice in month of August 2010. The park is awesome!! Bring the family, take a hike, bring a towel and have a picnic. The kids will remember it for a long time and so will we. We discoverd this park by mistake while going to Dingmans Fall.
July 3 Wonderful Park by K.J-Y.
I used to visit this park as a child in the 1960s. I remember the great fun and sense of freedom I enjoyed there with my family and friends. My family moved to California in 1970, and I have not been back to the East Coast since then. I have been considering a visit. Lord willing, Childs Park will be on my itinerary.
May 27 Beautiful Park
This park is awesome!! Great for kids and adults! Bring a towel (you know the kids will get wet) and a picnic lunch!
April 6 Dreamscapes by Maria L. Cecilli
This is my favorite place in the world. It is serene and beautiful. Lush forests, and magnificent water falls with crystal granite pools. If I could be anywhere it would be here.
March 21 Hidden Jewel by Pat
My sister and I visited this park on Saturday, March 20, 2010. It was the first day of Spring and the weather was beautiful. We found this park while looking for another. The waterfalls are stunning and the picnic area is great. Bring the family, take a hike, and have a picnic. The kids will remember it for a long time and so will we.
