Swimming
1. Crooked Creek State Park offers a large, sandy beach for swimming during summer months.
2. Lifeguards are not provided at the park; swim at your own risk.
3. The designated swimming area is marked with buoys and ropes to ensure safety.
4. Swimming outside of these areas or after sunset is prohibited by state law.
5. Restrooms, changing facilities and showers are available near the beach for convenience of swimmers.
6. The lake's water quality tests regularly meet Pennsylvania's health standards making it safe for public use.
7. Picnic tables and grills can be found nearby if you want to combine swimming with other activities.

Boating
The park offers a variety of boating options. There is a 1,730-acre lake where motorboats with up to 20 horsepower are permitted. Additionally, there's an option for non-powered boats which must display one of the state's boat registrations or launch permits. The park also provides canoe and kayak rentals along with two launching areas available in designated zones within the vicinity.
Fishing
Enjoy fishing in a 1,730-acre lake with species like largemouth bass, northern pike and various panfish. Trout streams are also available for enthusiasts seeking rainbow or brown trout. Ice fishing is an option during winter months when conditions allow it safely.

Picnicking
1. Crooked Creek State Park offers numerous picnic tables and grills scattered throughout the park.
2. There are two large, reservable picnic pavilions for group outings.
3. Picnic areas provide stunning lake views, making meals memorable.
4. Some sites have playgrounds nearby to keep kids entertained while adults relax.
5. Visitors can enjoy a post-picnic hike on surrounding trails or fishing in the creek after their meal.

Bicycling
Biking enthusiasts can explore 6.5 miles of paved roads within the park's boundaries, offering scenic views and varied terrain.

Mountain bikers should be aware that off-road trails are not available in this area.

Riders must exercise caution as these routes are shared with motor vehicles; safety gear is highly recommended.

It's important to note biking on hiking or equestrian paths isn't permitted - stick to designated bike-friendly areas only.

Remember, Pennsylvania law requires all cyclists under age 12 wear a helmet when riding bicycles on public property.

Check local weather conditions before setting out for your ride - adverse weather may make some routes unsafe.
