History of the Area
Located in the U.S. state of Oregon, this natural haven was established as a public recreation area during the 1930s by Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC). The CCC built picnic tables and restrooms for visitors to use while enjoying their time amidst nature.

The park is situated along Highway 26 near Seaside, offering travelers an opportunity to take a break from driving and enjoy its lush greenery. It covers approximately ten acres of land filled with towering trees such as Sitka spruce, western hemlock, red alder among others which provide shelter for various wildlife species including birds like woodpeckers or mammals like squirrels.

Directions
1. Start by heading west on Highway 26 from Portland.
2. Continue driving on Highway 26 for approximately 60 miles until you reach the town of Banks.
3. In Banks, take a left onto NW Main Street (also known as Northwest Sellers Road).
4. Follow NW Main Street/Sellers Road for about half a mile until you come to an intersection with SW Cedar Canyon Road.
5. Take a right onto SW Cedar Canyon Road and continue driving for around 10 miles.
6. Once you pass through Manning, keep following signs that lead towards Forest Grove or Tillamook along OR:6 W/ Wilson River Hwy.
7. Continue straight ahead past Gales Creek Campground & Store.
8. After passing Reehers Horse camp turn Right at Cochran Rd / Beaver Dam rd signposted "Browns Camp".
9. Follow this road till it ends into Browns camp parking lot.
