We have excellent birding throughout the park. Take a look out the dining room windows for a variety of backyard bird species at our feeders. At the cottage area the red-headed woodpeckers and all their relatives like to hangout. We also have two Blue Bird trails, and several hiking trails. The lakeshore is always good for Herons, Egrets, waterfowl and gulls. Over 150 species of birds make the Kenlake area home. Be sure to check the event calender for our Winter eagle tours, where you can take guided tours either aboard the CQ Princess excursion yacht or by passenger van.

July 15 Family Reunion by jellybelly82
park review stars; one to five My family has been going to Kenlake for over 40 years for our reunion on Fourth of July. I think the 40 years says it all. Just make sure to bring your own kitchen stuff, some cabins have more than enough and others have next to nothing. But the staff is great and it is beautiful! And make sure you eat at the Dinner Bell!
May 19 Our FAVORITE summer destination! by Crystal
park review stars; one to five We have stayed at Kenlake State Park 3 summers and plan to again this summer! We love everything from the southern hospitality, boating, biking, horse back riding, swimmning, the beautiful surroundings, FOOD and the MANY things to do while we are there. We have stayed other places but none of them match the ammentities and feel of Kenlake State Park! I HIGHLY reccommend a week long stay in the cottages - the lodge is great too! My husband and I have 4 children and we find Kenlake State Park VERY kid friendly!
