Lakeside Beach State Park offers an outstanding panoramic view of Lake Ontario and surrounding farms and fruit orchards. No swimming is allowed, but 274 campsites, four miles of hiking and biking trails, fishing along the lake front, picnic grounds and playing fields bring thousands to the park. Winter activities include hiking, cross-country skiing and snowmobiling.
Fishing
Anglers can enjoy fishing in the waters, home to species like Salmon and Steelhead. The park also offers ice-fishing during winter months for Northern Pike and Yellow Perch. Fishing equipment rentals are available on-site. A valid New York State fishing license is required.

Location
Lakeside Beach State Park is located near Albion, Brockport and Medina

Picnicking
Lakeside Beach State Park offers numerous picnic areas with tables and grills, some overlooking Lake Ontario. Pavilion rental is available.
Bicycling
In this park, biking is permitted on designated paths. Be aware that off-road or trail cycling isn't allowed.

The terrain can be challenging with steep inclines and declines; novice cyclists should proceed carefully.

Cyclists must adhere to the rules of the road when riding in areas shared with vehicles for safety reasons.

Helmet use is mandatory under New York law for riders aged 14 years old and younger - always prioritize safety!

Ensure your bike has proper lighting if you plan to ride after sunset as visibility within the park decreases significantly.

During peak season, expect higher foot traffic which may require slower speeds and increased caution while bicycling.

Remember: The weather conditions might affect path surfaces making them slippery during rain or snowfall periods - exercise extra care then!
Birding
The park offers a diverse range of bird species, ideal for avid birdwatchers. It's home to waterfowl and shorebirds during migration seasons. Raptors can also be spotted in the area.
