MEADE STATE FISHING LAKE AND WILDLIFE AREA
MEADE STATE FISHING LAKE AND WILDLIFE AREA
While small, the 360-acre wildlife area offers good opportunities for dove and quail hunters. Deer, turkey, rabbit, and some waterfowl also inhabit the area and offer hunters an occasional mixed bag. Deer may only be hunted with bow or muzzleloading firearms.
In the 80-acre lake, bluegill, channel cat, and largemouth bass are plentiful and provide excellent opportunities for the angler. A boat dock is available for the unloading of boats. No skiing or pleasure boating is allowed, and all boats must be operated at no-wake speeds. A swimming beach area has been marked off.
