it is a great park for smaller kids and relaxation. it really does need a makeover . the volleyball court is just 2 poles in the grass without a net. the fire pits are pretty rusted out on the bottoms. the kids playground has a couple of broken toys but is still very nice. i have camped there for 20 years and back when i was a child it was the best but i fear if they dont make some upgrades it will continue to fall apart and my kids wont be able to enjoy it as much as i did as a kid. Very friendly park manager who is very helpful. also only the rv sites have power and it would be nice if more of the camping sites had electric as well. i for one would pay more for it to have a fan in the humid oklahoma 100 degree weather. Overall lovely family park to camp or picnic and swim but they really need to put some money into it to upgrade.
Friendly people, nice playground, beach area. Easy to keep on eye on your kids. Close to Salina, resturants. BBQ at corner station good! it was busy with fisherman, as we are so it was pleasent, small night walks was peaceful and friendly. we also drive thru for the christmas lights, will go again I have been camping there for 25+ years. It is a quiet park with the exception of the holidays, gets alittle crowded. This is a great park if you like to fish a be lazy, but not for someone wanting to do the hiking and biking outdoors kinda thing. Not any other activities like that. But great just to get out and enjoy hitting the lake or play games. Great playground and fair swimming area. 
This is a tiny state park right next to highway 20. There is not much to do other than lanch your boat on their ramp. There was alot of traffic just driving through the park and in the eary morning around 5 am bass fishermen using the ramp woke everyone in the park.
We stayed on the weekend so it may not be this way all the time, but i would not stay here again.
