review rating - 1 to 5 stars bushes along river - bushes between fence and river are so tall that you can only see the river at a few spots, great park, but sad to have a park on the river when you can hardly see the river.

review rating - 1 to 5 stars A recently discovered gem - The walk along the new dike in the Augstine Wildife Trail is a great find. My wife and I just took a stroll and saw a Bald Eagle and many other birds and Ships passing by. It was an unexpected find on a boring evening. Park at the Port Penn Interprative lot and walk across to the trailhead.

review rating - 1 to 5 stars Beautiful place - This free camping area is a gem. Large, secluded campsites have free firewood. Porta toilets are a quarter mile away and you must carry in your water but the beauty and seclusion more than make up for this. Lovely trails. We will come back.
review rating - 1 to 5 stars My Favorite Place - We own a vacation home nearby, but this park is my FAVORITE place to visit in the area. It is so peaceful and there is so much natural beauty. One year we were able to get a local Kayak company to drop off Kayaks here, and it was lovely kayaking up towards Camp Barnes. I LOVE the sand roads. I LOVE sitting at a picnic table in shelter just enjoying the quiet beauty. My husband and I came out with a little picnic to spend the afternoon of our anniversary last year. Very spiritual setting.

review rating - 1 to 5 stars Lots of nature - Have your kids take a camera and fill it with so many kinds of natural loving things. This trip will always be in their hearts and we will be back.

review rating - 1 to 5 stars Great location - Love being at this park. Love the location under the bridge, close to Rehoboth and Bethany Beach. Great bike lanes lead all over the coast. Wish the park had a better map like many places we visited. Helps us find stuff to do, find places we need. Just a suggestion.
review rating - 1 to 5 stars Beware of sand fleas!!! - We camped at this park one night and now I regret it. We were itching all night long and once morning arrived, our poor kids were covered in little red bite marks. These bites are now raised and very itchy. I was told that these are from sand fleas. We will not be camping at the beach ever again! Also, our site was right near the smelly dumpsters, the highway, and there were NO trees.
