review rating - 1 to 5 stars BEST PLACE - We go to Springmill SP as often as we can. The trails are ways fun to hike or in our case walk to get a good cardio workout. Ppl we meet on the trails and in the village are always friendly not to mention the friendly staff at the gates and inside the stores. Love going there
10/24/2020 3:12:11 PM Turkey Run State Park by Pamela W Meyer
review rating - 1 to 5 stars picture - Oh my gosh, I am looking for a picture of Turkey Run I would love to see a picture of the picture. The park was THE favorite place to visit with our three children as they grew. They still return home Noblesville to visit and we try to get the newest generation to the park.
9/24/2020 12:30:15 PM Clark State Forest by Diane
review rating - 1 to 5 stars Equestrian day use - I would love to be able to return to the lovely area around Shaw Lake for a day trip and ride the trails which I understand are in great condition due to countless volunteer hours. The day parking lot for horse trailers in this area has been closed for years and I understand it still is. Is there any place to park with a horse trailer for just day use without having to pay for Camping overnight If so, where is it I tried calling with this question, had to leave a message but never got an answer back.
review rating - 1 to 5 stars Ordinance plant - My father worked at the Ordinance plant for Armour Research Company when I was growing up. He was in a terrible explosion there and nearly lost his life.
6/2/2020 8:51:49 AM Charlestown State Park by Andrea
review rating - 1 to 5 stars - Decent campground with all sites being electric and some full hook up. We were in a tent, and found the sites in the paw paw loop to be too close together. In addition, the shower house in the paw paw loop did not have hot water and the shower only stayed on for 5 seconds at a time. The main loop shower house was nice with hot water. We were told the campstore was open 8-4, so we tried to go at 230 on a Saturday and they were already closed. Also tried to go at 10am on Monday and 930am on Tuesday..also closed. Firewood and ice available at campground gate. Very nice trails to hike with Rose Island being a definite must see. If you closely on the trails, you can find remnants of old buildings.
8/1/2019 4:51:30 PM Jackson-Washington State Forest by R Smith
review rating - 1 to 5 stars Large bugs everywhere - It is August 1st, 2019. Drove 3 hours to Jackson-Washington State Forest today to camp for the night. When we got there, it was big bugs swarming everywhere we went. About an inch long with brownish yellow and white bodies. I mean they were everywhere. Got out of the truck and got pelted with them. Turned around and came back home. We have been camping before there and have never seen anything like that, but it may be the last time we go.
7/21/2018 9:49:57 AM Tippecanoe River State Park by Morris Mohler
review rating - 1 to 5 stars A definite favorite - Thomas, a security personnel visited our site on the 19th. He was a delightful DNR employee. He represented TRSP and the IN DNR in an excellent way. It is a joy to meet young people who enjoy the outdoors and communicate with campers.
6/28/2018 8:11:28 PM Greenburg Reservoir State Fishing Area by Chris f.
review rating - 1 to 5 stars Sad to see its closed - Wish we could get some answers they want you to buy a fishing license with nowhere to fish this was about the only place in greensburg to fish I used to take my kids out there the indiana dnr has let things slip here in Decatur co. And the upland is only open on some saturdays.what a shame seems like my fees are being wasted.
