I miss you Father, Michael Kloster, Jr. - So many great times we had here. I honor you. Rest in peace and I will see you again in Heaven. I love you. I miss you dearly. I know you are looking down on me and it makes me happy. I will bring my son to the Strip Pits and we will camp and fish and it is where I will teach him to be a man, so you did for me.
I love you Father.
Very respectfully,
Your eldest son, AEK
- Easter weekend, stayed in great cabin, one day 60 deg. next had Snow! Ready to open for the Spring! Well maintained, beautiful, setting, fishing and swimming!
Beautiful Park - Cannot recommend this park enough, just about every site has a lake view and are large and well spaced out. We met the friendliest group of people while here and had wonderful relaxation time. If you are energetic there are trails to hike, roads to bicycle and a huge lake for fishing and boating.
Great park but disc golf is terrible. - Went to camp and disc golf. Camping was great. This disc golf course needs some work. Need someone to come in and redo it. Has plenty of space to put in an 18 hole course where more people would come to play.
State Park Office - Visited the Clinton State Park Office to obtain information about the hiking trails. Found Sheri to be very friendly, informative and helpful. She is a great Ambassador for the Park. Thanks Sheri
Big Cat Attack - It was 10:00 in the morning, 80 degrees, about five feet from shore. I was using a #2 mepps spinner when I hooked into a 10# channel cat that would put any largemouth bass to shame. The more people tell me that all catfish are are bottom feeding sluggards, the more I catch on spinner baits and other lures. I know I have a cat instead of a bass because the former slug it out at the bottom and the latter go for the surface in order to shake the hook.
needs more catfish - Ive been hoing here for a long time and there used to be plenty of catfish now all i can catch is bass thay should put more catfish in
- Why would a family oriented park not allow pets? We will spend our money elsewhere and be happy ro so so. Our small dog has traveled the country with us and hotel chains accept pets now. Times change.
